Pandemic swine flu slipped into Bangladesh as health authorities confirmed the first case yesterday, saying a 19-year-old student was quarantined in the city after a trip to the United States.
"His samples have tested positive for influenza A/H1N1," the Health Minister Prof Dr AFM Ruhul Huq told The Independent over phone without naming the patient.
